“‘THE CORN OF WHEAT TO MULTIPLY
MUST FALL INTO THE EARTH AND DIE;
SO DEATH TO SELF AND FLESH WE SEE
BRINGS BLESSING, VICTORY AND QUALITY!'”
United Maori Mission Prayer Bulletin, October 2011
“I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. – John 12:24
“‘WHETHER YOU ARE ON AN IRON, BRASS OR GOLDEN CANDLESTICK IS NOT SO IMPORTANT; JUST SEE TO IT THAT YOU SHINE.'” – United Maori Mission Prayer Bulletin, October 2011.
“When Jesus spoke again to the people he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'” – John 8:12
TRUST
“Trust is knowing someone’ s got your back. Trust is knowing someone loves you, warts and all. Trust is earned, through bad times. Trust is like love – it’s hard to put into words, but you feel it. – John Kirwan
That quote is part of the article called “New Zealand’s most trusted people 2010”. And yes, I have not forgotten, that it is the year 2011.
I like what John Kirwan says about trust, especially the sentence, “TRUST IS KNOWING SOMEONE LOVES YOU, WARTS AND ALL.”
At the same time when I read about TRUST in the Reader’s Digest, I read also what Charles Haddon Spurgeon says about believing in the Lord Jesus Christ. C. H. Spurgeon says, “To believe is simply to trust, to depend, to rely upon Christ Jesus.”
I know that the Lord Jesus Christ loves me, warts and all!
Do you?
