“Hugs not Thugs”

“Hugs not Thugs” was the theme of the  “whanau day out” (gathering) today at the Kaitaia swimming pools with lots of activities including Ki-O-Rahi. That’s what I was told by the lady I met in front of the gates of the pools, where the place was prepared to play the Maori game Ki-O-Rahi (she told me that she taught Ki-O-Rahi in Germany while on a tour) when I asked her what the summary of the opening speech was. (I did not hear the opening speech.)

“Hugs not Thugs.”

It was a joy to tell her about my Saviour Jesus Christ. Luke 2:11 “Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is Christ (Messiah) the LORD.”

But my joy was even greater when I entered the gates of the pools – free entrance today- and I saw the wife of one of my friends. I invited the whole family of five to the local Baptist Church for a FREE concert and a meal. So far about eleven people said that they would come to the concert and the meal. Praise the LORD! Romans 1:16

“Then they will know that I am the LORD.” – Ezekiel 29:9

You find four verses in Ezekiel chapter 29 alone with the obove meaning. Here they are:

— Ezekiel 29:6 “Then all who live in Egypt will know that I am the LORD.”

— Ezekiel 29:9

— Ezekiel 29:16

— Ezekiel 29:21

How many verses with that meaning are in the book of  Ezekiel? How many verses with that meaning are in the Bible?

I have to find out!

I wish we could say:  “Then all who live in New Zealand will know that I am the LORD.”

I wish we could say:  “Then all who live in the world will know that I am the LORD.”

“……. Simply tell us about your Passion in Life -……..”

“…. simply tell us about your passion in life -…..”

It is a joy for me to do so.

Recently Huffer redisigned the look of the new Telecom mobile broadband T- Sticks. I am reading that in the November 2010 Telecom newsletter called: “In Touch”.

Huffer is a successful business. Why? The reason is the passion of their people.

Telecom is giving away five of the Huffer-designed T – Sticks in a draw. What must I do to be in the draw to win? It says in the newsletter:  “Passion is central to the Huffer team so simply tell us about your passion in life – it might be your kids, your classic sports car or your pet canary!”
