Gossip

“I don’t repeat gossip, so listen carefully the first time.” – Grapevine, Issue 3 2010

Read what the Bible says about gossip:

Second Corinthians 12:20

Proverbs 11:13

Proverbs 16:28

Proverbs 18:8

Proverbs 20:19

Proverbs 26:20

Proverbs 26:22

Kaitaia Abundant Life School

School scripture: Matthew 5:14-16

Vision statement:

“To be a dynamic Christian school that produces outstanding Godly young people who will have a lasting positive impact in our community, our country and the nations.”

Mission statement:

“To be a Christian school that partners with families to produce young people of academic and personal excellence in a safe environment.”

“YOU ARE NOT YOUR OWN.”

“Be inspired” it says on the pamphlet advertising Early Childhood Education. Be inspired to study. It is good to be inspired . I am inspired to write when I read the newspaper.

Today a Church ad in the local paper caught my eye. The headline said, “The Power of Focus”. Now that got my attention. And in smaller print the ad continued, “How to take ownership of your life.”

Yes, the first chapter of the Personal Coaching workshop is called, “How to take ownership of your life. Now that really got my attention.  More chapters of the Personal coaching workshop are listed of course.

The Bible, The Word of the Living God, says in Hebrews 12:2:  “LET US FIX OUR EYES ON JESUS, THE AUTHOR AND PERFECTER OF OUR FAITH,….”

The Bible, The Word of the Living God, says in First Corinthians 6:19,20:

“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in  you, YOU ARE NOT YOUR OWN; you were bought at a price. Therefore honour God with your body.”

Substitutes for the message of the Gospel:

In his book WHEN A NATION FORGETS GOD,  Dr. Erwin W. Lutzer is writing on page 137:

“Here are a few substitutes for the message of the Gospel that I have observed:

-God wants you to experience spiritual healing.

-God wants you to be healthy and wealthy too.

-Jesus will help you to be a better businessman, parent, entrepreneur, etc.

-God wants you to cheerily face life by knowing  ‘God is for you’ – whether you’ve repented of sin or not.

-God’s will for you is good nutrition, physical exercise, and in general, living the good life.

-The message of Christianity is community- not the cross.”
