“TREASURE OUR CHILDREN”

“TREASURE OUR CHILDREN”

“CHILDREN are a gift from the LORD.” CHILDREN are a reward from the LORD.  Psalm 127:3

And the Lord wants us to teach his words to our children.

In Deuteronomy 11:18 we read: “Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds;…” , and in Deuteronomy 11:18-20  I find this SERMON OUTLINE:

THE WORDS OF THE LORD

“Teach them to your children,

1.  talking about them when

a. you sit at home and when

b.  you walk along the road, when

c.  you lie down and when

d.  you get up.

2.  Write them on

a.  the doorframes of your houses and

b.  on your gates,…..”

Reading that encourages me to memorize more verses from the BIBLE!

The next verse I am going to memorize is Galatians 3:22.

“But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what is promised, being given through faith in JESUS CHRIST, might be given to those who believe.”

“………………………… IS A MUST READ.”

“……….. IS A MUST READ.”

“If you love……………………, then this book is a must read.”

“……………….. is a must read.”

That’s what authors say when they praise the works of other writers.

I say, “THE BIBLE IS A MUST READ!”

Why is the BIBLE a must read?

1. Because the HOLY SPIRIT is the author of the BIBLE.

2. Because our knowledge of God is found in the Scriptures.

3. Because the Word of God is the guide book to everlasting life.

4. Because the Bible IS the Word of God. It does not contain the Word of God.

Sir Walter Scott possessed a great libray. He was also the author of many books. He said, “THERE IS BUT ONE BOOK, THE BIBLE.”
