Coming Soon!

The last book of the BIBLE, the book of REVELATION, teaches at the end, that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming! It even says that He is coming SOON!

a.) Revelation 22:7 “‘Behold, I am coming soon!'”

b.) Revelation 22:12″‘Behold, I am coming soon!'”

But in Matthew 24:36 it says also that only the Father knows the day and the hour.

No one else knows. The angels don’t know. The Lord Jesus Christ does not know either.

The conclusion therefore is that we must be ready!

We do have an enemy, but not an enemy we can see.

We need the armour of God to wrestle against principalities, powers, the rulers  of the darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12)

What is the armour of God?

1. “…loins girt about with truth,..”

2. “…having on the breastplate of righteousness;…”

3. “…feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;..”

4. “… the shield of faith,..”

5. “…helmet of salvation,..”

6. “…sword of the Spirit,..”

7. “Praying…”

8. “…watching…”

“Books Change Lives”

 “We want all Kiwis to celebrate and enjoy the power of books in our everyday lives.”

The BIBLE, the word of the LIVING GOD, changed my life.

There was a time in my life when the BIBLE was like any other book.

But people PRAYED for me, especially my mother, and the BIBLE, the word of the LIVING GOD, became alive for me.

When that happened, I listened to men of God, especially on the radio, who had the same experience. I became obedient to the BIBLE. I went to a Bible School to learn more about the BIBLE. I contacted a Missionary Society and worked in Thailand for 13 years. In 1980  I did more studies at the BIble College of NZ in Auckland and worked from then on until I retired in Kaikohe / NZ as a missionary (United Maori Mission).

I WANT THIS GENERATION TO BE CHANGED BY THE BIBLE, THE WORD OF THE LIVING GOD.

I BELIEVE IT IS POSSIBLE THROUGH PRAYER. LET US PRAY FOR THIS GENERATION!

“CAN YOU HEAR THE WORLD?”

“Can you hear the world?”

I am finding that question at the end of an old Reader’s Digest and I am going to answer it. (September 2009)

“HEAR THE WORLD is a global initiative by Phonak to raise awareness about the importance of hearing  and the consequences of hearing loss.”  A phone number is given and people can call the number to receive a voucher for a free hearing screening test.

I can hear the world alright.

Not long ago I had a hearing screening test and was told that I am hearing the world………

I am hearing “all that is in the world.”

1. I AM HEARING ABOUT THE LUST OF THE FLESH.

The devil tried this temptation on the Lord Jesus Christ. “…., tell this stone to become bread.” – Luke 4:3.

Young people are especially plagued by fleshly lusts.

2. I AM HEARING ABOUT THE LUST OF THE EYES.

The devil tried this temptation on the Lord also. We are reading about that in Luke 4:5. He showed Him the kingdoms of the world in a moment.

David fell by the lust of the eyes. Second Samuel 11:2. Achan fell by the lust of the eyes. Joshua 7:21.

3. I AM HEARING ABOUT THE PRIDE OF LIFE.

The devil tried this temptation on the Lord also. Luke 4:9.

How did Satan fall? Pride was his sin.

I have also learnt that with “lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life we might compare the three things which led Eve to disobey God, in the garden of Eden. We are reading about that in the first book of the BIBLE in Genesis 3:6.

I have learnt that “The world” in First John 2:15 means man’s world in its state as fallen from God. In First John 5:19 we are told that “the whole world is under the control of the evil one” and in First John 2:15 we are commanded “not to love the world or anything in the world.”

“CLOSE THE DOORS ON THE OUTSIDE WORLD………and enjoy a peaceful outlook…” I am reading under the picture of a house in  “Northland’s biggest real estate guide” (current to March 28, 2012)
