Is your Name safe in my Mouth?

I am asking myself just now that question. The Bible is commanding us to love our brothers and sisters. You know by now that I also say that I love God. Please read what the Bible says in First John 4:19-21.

I read today a very interesting quote by Billy, wo is only 4 years old. Billy says,”When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.”

There is of course also the simple question: Is my name safe in your mouth?

What a challenge!

A LITTLE ANECDOTE

The blessed German general von Viebahn liked to tell this little story:

The uniform of an officer got torn in a maneuvre. He came to a village and met some soldiers and asked,” Is a tailor here?” “Yes, was the answer from one man. But when the officer asked him to mend his uniform he was told, “I cannot do that, my name is Tailor, but I am not a tailor.”

General von Viebahn finished, “There are many who call themselves Christians, but they are not really Christians.”

What about you?

If you look hard, you can see the cross at the top of the Norfolk Pine!

First Corinthians 1:18

Click on the picture twice to see the cross clearly.

The photograph on this post communicates the fact that there is HOPE for the dying. At the top of the Norfolk pine you can see the cross. The Lord Jesus Christ loved us so much that he died for us on the cross and I pray that your heart will be touched by the love of the Saviour for YOU. I pray also that you will become a changed person by believing in the message of the cross.

“FOR THE MESSAGE OF THE CROSS IS FOOLISHNESS TO THOSE WHO ARE PERISHING, BUT TO US WHO ARE BEING SAVED IT IS THE POWER OF GOD.

“CARING FOR YOU!”

Today I picked up some medicine at the Pharmacy. On my walk home I looked properly at the small paper bag and started reading what was written there on the outside, “Your Pharmacy– CARING FOR YOU!”

A verse from the Bible popped into my head straight away. Here it is:

“Cast all your anxieties on HIM because he cares for you.” First Peter 5:7

But please don’t get me wrong – I am very thankful for my pharmacy.

“Global Crisis”

“GLOBAL CRISIS

What it means for you”

That is the newspaper headline today. (30. 01. 09)

I don’t know what the Global Crisis means for you. But I know what it means for me. Here are three precious verses from the Bible, the Word of the Living God:

1. Revelation 1:8

2. First Corinthians 3:11

3. Hebrews 13:8
