“Our Last Day” – 17. 01. 09
“We should strive to live every day as if it was our last, for one day it will be.” That’s what I read long ago in a book written by B. Graham. I thought: What a challenge!
But when I was looking for it again, I could not find it – until today.
I was looking at my bookcase and the thought came to me to pick up a certain devotional book by B. Graham and look up what was written on the 17th of January . And there it was, “We should strive to live every day as if it was our last, for one day it will be.”
Do YOU know the Lord?
Pharao did not. He said so himself, “I do not know the Lord…….” Exodus 5:2
1. Only the Lord is selfexistent.
2. We are dependent beings.
Read the whole of Exodus 5:2.
LUCKY STARS?
I watched a bit TV while away from home and there was the story of a rescue, which was really a miracle. He can thank his lucky stars was said about the person rescued.
Maybe somebody can tell me where that phrase about the lucky stars comes from?
I don’t know about the lucky stars, but I know about the Living God, who made the stars. I have said it before, but I say it again: “The God of eternity is the God of every hour and minute for a believer in Jesus Christ.”
Are you a believer in Jesus Christ? Then say to yourself, “The God of eternity is the God of every hour and minute for a believer in Jesus Christ.” I did that not long ago, when I was in a difficult situation and knots became untied.
If you are as yet not a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and want to know how to become one, read more posts on this blog.

HAPPINESS!!
“…..IS BUT A DREAM,……”
“VISION is not enough; it must be combined with venture. It is not enough to stare up the steps; we must step up the stairs.” – Vaclav Havel
“A VISION without a task is
BUT A DREAM,
a task without a VISION is drudgery,
a VISION and a task is the hope of the world.”
– A church in Sussex, England, ca. 1730
YOUR ENEMY…..
First Peter 5:8
Be self-controlled and alert. YOUR ENEMY the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
“UNLEASH YOURSELF”
“Unleash yourself,” I was reading on the big building in front of me. “What is that building all about?” I asked somebody in a hairdresser shop. The answer came, “That is a gym.”
But what a message for me: “UNLEASH YOURSELF!”
Werner, unleash yourself for the service of the Lord, especially when it comes to Personal Evangelism.
Are you unleashed for the service of the Lord?
CH Spurgeon writes in one of his books: “To speak for God will be
— refreshing to us,
— encouraging to saints,
— useful to sinners,
— and honouring to the Saviour.”
And he finishes with this:” Mute children are an affliction to their parents. Lord, unloosen all Your children’s tongues.’
