ABOUT LOVE

An advertisement – in the paper called COFFEE NEWS- starts:” To people who want to love– and be loved.” Do you want to love somebody? Do you want to be loved?

The author Jim Rohn says in one of his books:” And one of the most important ingredients of a balanced life is having someone to love and love you.” Do you love someone? Does someone love you? And I think we all want to have a balanced life, don’t we?

Yes, there is someone who loves you for sure. The Lord Jesus Christ! John 3:16 And the Lord Jesus Christ wants to be loved by you. I know that the Lord Jesus Christ loves me. And I also love the Lord Jesus Christ.

But I am also glad that I have a wife who loves me and that I love my wife. We had our wedding quite a good number of years ago.

ASSURANCE! We want assurance on the road when we drive our car! It says here mta assured. Dedicated to better motoring. MTA is short of course for Motor Trade Association. One of these days I am going to look the Association up on the Internet.

What about our assurance of SALVATION? I have said it again and again that we can know now that we do have eternal life. It says so in the BIBLE, the Word of the Living God. First John 5:13!

If we don’t know at this very moment, that we do have eternal life, our spiritual life is very unstable, very fickle indeed.

Dr Martin Lloyd-Jones says:” It is the Holy Spirit alone who finally can give us an unshakable assurance of salvation. There are 3 main ways in which assurance comes to us:

a. There is God’s word; we believe it and rest upon it. Second Timothy 3:16; Second Peter 1:21

b. There are also certain tests of spiritual life.

–‘We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren.’

–…because we no longer find the commandments of the Lord to be grievous. They are a delight to us …

— We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

–We are aware of the Spirit working in us.

–We examine ourselves to see if any of the Spirit’s fruit is manifested in us.

c. Romans 8:15-17; Second Corinthians 1:22; Ephesians 1:13,14.

SECURITY is a big word in our days. And rightly so! You can read it yourself: This property is patrolled and monitored by A1 SECURITY! Not by B5! When it comes to security we want only the best.

But what about our ETERNAL Security, which is far more important?

H. A. Ironside, a Bible Teacher says:” We mean that once a poor sinner has been regenerated by the Word of God and has been regenerated by the Spirit of God, once he has received a new life, once he has received a new nature, has been made partaker of the divine nature, once he has been justified from every charge before the throne of God, it is absolutely impossible that that man should ever again be a lost soul.”

Those who are born again believers are connected to the Living God and they do have a Wireless Hotspot through PRAYER wherever they are all the time.

I do not know how far the Wireless Hotspot at McDonald’s reaches. But not very far.

I hear the phrase again and again ( heard it again today-13. 10. 07) and I don’t only hear it, but I see the phrase also written. At the end of the day………..WHAT?????????????????
