Citizens Commemoration- Anzac Day Service- Kaitaia Community Centre

11.00 am Friday, 25 April 2008.

Praise be to the Lord Jesus Christ. 100 copies of the Anzac Day flier “LEST WE FORGET” were gladly accepted by those who attended. The Lord has answered prayer! I contacted pastor Graeme Baucke concerning the distribution of the leaflets. He kindly told me that Far North District Councillor Colin Kitchen is in charge of the service. I went to see Colin at the firestation. He read the leaflet. He gave his OK and I can only praise the Lord for His leading and guiding. Praise the Lord!

“Do you have a Dollar?” (Personal Evangelism) Anzac Day

“Do you have a Dollar?” I was asked by one of the four or five young men who were sitting outside McDonald’s. “No, I have only two Dollars and fifty cents left to buy a bottle of water at the Warehouse.”

But I stopped to tell them what the Lord Jesus Christ had done for me, starting with Anzac Day “Lest we forget.” I told them, that God is holy and that we are sinners and that the Lord loved us so much that he died for us on the cross; that there is Heaven and Hell and that one day the Lord will be either their judge or their Saviour. They listened!

I was reminded of the story in the book of Acts 3:1-10 where the crippled beggar asked for money and Peter and John did not have money to give to him, but the Lord used Peter and John to heal him.

This young man, who asked for money, and the others did not have any physical handicaps. But they are spiritually blind, which is far worse than physical blindness. Second Corinthians 4:4.

Please pray for them!
