Germans in NZ
Quite a number of German visitors are coming to Kaitaia. They are good to talk to. Today I have written a tract in German especially for people like that. It is my testimony and it also explains briefly how to accept the Lord as personal Saviour.–Please pray for this ministry!
Pray also for the Germans who live here permanently. I am in touch with quite a number of them!

Choosing
I have here the business card of a professional Counseller. ” Counselling for the whole Person”. On the back is written,” Make the choice today that will make a difference tomorrow.”
I am reminded of what is written in the book of Joshua in the Bible, in Joshua 24:15!
“…; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
“BIRDS IN A CAGE”
“Like dogs in a wheel, BIRDS IN A CAGE, or squirrels in a chain, ambitious men still climb and climb, with great labour, and incessant anxiety, but never reach the top.”-R. Browning
Psalm 124:7,8

Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day, Sunday May 11th
I read here about “Mother’s Day Special Offer — WIN WIN WIN a Diamond Tennis Bracelet. Simply purchase a John Sands or Ink Group card…”
You find also advertisements like these”For My Mum; Love Mum; Something Special for her; Treat her; Delight her and Spoil her.”
My mother died a number of years ago.
But I am thinking now about ‘Mothers and Fathers in Christ’. You don’t find many of them in the Churches at a the present time. I mean those people who had a long walk with the Lord and who are able to help the next generation.
Let us pray that the Lord will raise up ‘Mothers and Fathers in Christ’ in the Body of Christ.
“A ‘guiding light’ is welcomed home”
That was the title of an article in ” The Northland Age”, May 6 2008. I hope you have read the article.
I read the article with great interest and two Bible verses came to my mind.
Both from the Gospel of John: John 8:12 and John 1:11,12
I hope this is helpful for Personal Evangelism:
We are needy people, because we are sinners. It is a fact and we read about this fact in Romans 3:23 in the Bible. There is also a penalty for sin. It says so in Romans 6:23.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the only one who can meet our need. He paid the penalty. Romans 5:8. The Lord Jesus Christ has the desire to meet our need. It says so in Luke 19:10. Our Salvation is a (free) gift. Read Ephesians 2:8,9.
But we must ask the Lord to come into our hearts to meet our need. Read John 1:12 and Revelation 3:20.
The Lord Jesus has promised to come into our hearts, to cleanse us from all sin, to make us sons and daughters of God, to give us eternal life. He has promised to live in our hearts. But we must invite him into our hearts and surrender to His control.
What must we do to be saved? Acts 16:30 We must admit our sin, admit our helplessness and Christ’s sufficiency and admit the Saviour into our hearts.
