“LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST”

“ALIVE IN CHRIST” I read when I looked at the entrance to the New Lynn Bible Chapel in Auckland this morning. It was written there in big letters.

That reminded me again of something else I came across yesterday in a pharmacy pamphlet. There it says on one page, “Live life to the fullest.” It talks there about total wellbeing. Concern about our individual needs is also expressed and there are of course the right products for us. Advice from experts is also available.

Of course, I want to live life to the fullest. There is no doubt about that. But we can only “live life to the fullest” when we are “ALIVE IN CHRIST.”

How to be “Alive in Christ” you can find out by reading more posts on this blog.

Thai Missionaries in New Zealand -08. 01. 2009

I met two of them at the post office in New Lynn, Auckland – buddhist priests in their robes.

There was also a third thai in ordinary clothing doing business for them.

I went to talk with them and we had a really good conversation and exchanged our addresses.

PS: I used to work as a missionary in Thailand for 13 Years. (WEC International)

One can make the Bible say anything

The two young men were sitting there together on a sofa in the shopping centre. One had an open Bible on his lap pointing to Bible verses and reading them out aloud. The other young man was listening attentively. The Bible reader had a mate, who was doing the same on a seat nearby.

What a picture!

When I got talking to one of the Bible readers I found out, that they belong to the WORLD MISSION SOCIETY Church of God.

Eventually they gave me two leaflets and a questionnaire.

Apparently they believe in “God the Mother.”

I remember what one of our Bible School teachers once said: One can make the Bible say anything.
