Not only a Trip to the Beach…..

P1070507

It was not only a trip to the beach today. I met up with two German tourists at Cable Bay and was able to share the GOSPEL with them. Romans 1:16,17 Please click on the address and read the two verses! The tourists were very responsive!

***************

I am actually a little bit reluctant to share P. E. (Personal Evangelism) Stories. Reasons are very obvious.P1070475

But only recently I met up with a local resident for the first time and it turned out that he was also a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and we prayed together standing on the footpath of the main road here (Commerce Street) in town.

Joy and Sorrow

Today I read this proverb in the “Coffee News”, 22nd June 2009:

“Shared joy is a double joy; shared sorrow is half sorrow.” –  Swedish proverb

A verse from the Bible came to my mind. Here it is:

Proverbs 14:10

“Each heart knows its own bitterness, and no one else can share its joy.”

Courage

“Courage is contagious. When a brave man takes a stand, the spines of others are stiffened.” – Billy Graham

Not long ago I saw a film – movie – about Martin Luther, the German leader of the Protestant Reformation. He was a man of courage! He lived from 1483-1546. He died when he was 63!

The’Cutting Edge’.

I have heard people talk about the cutting edge. You have heard people talk about the cutting edge. And not too long ago I have been reading about the cutting edge. The cutting edge was mentioned in a catalogue advertising electrical appliances.

I told myself to forget about the cutting edge. However, when I was just about to do so, I came across the following verse in my daily reading of the Bible. In Proverbs 27:17 it says:

As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.”

And then I asked myself a couple of questions:

Are we still on the cutting edge of making disciples of all nations? Matthew 28:19

Are we still on the cutting edge of preaching the GOOD NEWS to all creation? Mark 16:15

Are we still on the cutting edge of preaching repentance and forgiveness of sins in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to all nations, beginnng at Jerusalem? Luke 24:47

Are we still on the cutting edge of being witnesses for the Lord Jesus Christ in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth? Acts 1:8

If we as individuals are on the cutting edge of making disciples of all nations, the church or missionary society we are belonging to, will also be on the cutting edge of making disciples of all nations.
