Children-Children-Children-Children-Children (Generation)

This morning I read the Evening portion of the book “Morning and Evening” by C.H. Spurgeon. Spurgeon is writing about Joel 1:3. Five times the word children occurs in that one verse and the verse is not even long.

“Tell it to your children, and let your children tell it to their children, and their children to the next generation.”

Joel 1:3

I picked up my Bible and read the context. I discovered that the elders are told to tell “The Word of the Lord” to their children. Joel 1:1-2

Some time ago I took a picture and on the picture it says,” CHILDREN ARE OUR GREATEST TREASURE.” How glad I am to read that! If we really believe, that children are our greatest treasure, we tell them the Word of the Living God.

I picked up also a leaflet. On the leaflet it says, “MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIFE OF A CHILD OR YOUNG PERSON.” And there again, we can make the biggest difference in the life of a child or young person by telling them the Word of the Living God.

It has been my privilege to get the Good News of Salvation in Jesus Christ, the GOSPEL, to children in Germany, Thailand and hier in New Zealand. In Germany in tents and in a big bus. (Barmer Zeltmisssion) In Thailand in the schools. (WEC International) Hier in New Zealand on Maraes , in halls , in play centers and in schools. For many years it was also my privilege to help train Bible in Schools Teachers. (United Maori Mission)

The headline about the “Weather Warning LOOK WHAT’S ON THE WAY”- The New Zealand Herald – July 11, 2009 – on the front-page really took my attention today and I bought the paper for $3.00.

When I got home I read also on the front-page this headline,” BIG JUMP IN CHILD- ASSAULT REPORTS.”

HOW SAD!

Jude 12

Dies sind die Leute,:

— die bei euren Liebesmahlen als Schmutzflecken ohne Scheu mitschmausen und es sich dabei wohl sein lassen;

— regenlose Wolken sind sie, die von Winden voruebergetrieben werden,

— spaetherbstlich kahle, fruchtlose, zweimal ABGESTORBENE , entwurzelte BAEUME, ….
