“moving into care?”

The title of the book is “a question of (care) where?”  The word “care” is crossed out and replaced with “where”.

Underneath it says, “what, when and how”.

It is all about “Looking at retirement options?”

The book is quite thick and I picked it up in the foyer of the library.

But there are more questions on the front page:

“entitlements?”, “village living?” “staying at home?”, “moving into care?”, “how the system works?”

I am especially interested in the question: “MOVING  INTO CARE?”

At the bottom of the front page you can read: “Essential information for older people.”

I moved into care in  my teens!

First Peter 5:7 “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

“… the happiest people…”

“As a rule the happiest people are those who are so busy doing their duty that they have no time to look for happiness.”

Are you now asking what our duty is?

Here is the answer:

Ecclesiastes 12:13

“Now all has been heard;

here is the conclusion of the matter:

Fear God and

keep his commands,

for this is the whole duty of man.”

BARUCH SON OF ZABBAI

I read this morning Nehemiah chapter three . It is about the builders of the wall. Many builders of the wall are mentioned and they were building…… but Baruch son of Zabbai was repairing zealously.

Now I am asking myself some questions. Are you also asking yourself some questions?

Nehemiah 3:20

“Next to him, Baruch son of Zabbai zealously repaired another section,….”

ARE YOU ALSO DREAMING IT?

“DON’T DREAM IT……….. DO IT!

That says the ad in a travel magazine advertising the skyjump and skywalk in Auckland. ( In Maori language the city’s name is Tamaki Makau Rau, which translates as “the city of 100 lovers”.)

“….ONLY A DREAM.”

“Vision without action is only a dream.

Action without vision is wasting time.

Vision and action can change the world.”

Confucius

*************

“….BUT A DREAM,…”

“A vision without a task is but a dream,

a task without a vision is drudgery,

a vision and a task is the hope of the world.”

– A church in Sussex, England, ca 1730

Is that not the same?

“Vision is not enough; it must be combined with venture.

It is not enough to stare up the steps; we must step up the stairs.”
