“The Kitchen is the Heart of the Home”

“There can never be a really happy home if there is trouble in the kitchen. – R. W. Foot

Do I really understand the meaning of what the cross stitch says and what Mr. Foot says about the kitchen? I don’t know.

But I know that there is lots of trouble in the homes of today. Why is that so?

There is so much EATING OUT today.

First of all: The family is not sitting any longer three times a day around the kitchen table.

Secondly: There are still familes sitting around the kitchen table, but is the father reading from the Bible and praying as it was once the custom?

Please tell me if you think I am on the wrong track.

Is there not the saying:

“FAMILIES THAT PRAY TOGETHER STAY TOGETHER”?

“……committed to eradicating avoidable blindness…”

In The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ pamphlet I picked up at Specsavers New Zealand (Optometrists) I read, “….committed to eradicating avoidable blindness…”

What is The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ?
“The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ is a Kiwi charity committed to eradicating avoidable blindness in some of the world’s poorest countries. We work in places where four out of  five people who are blind could see again, if only they had access to treatment.”

The New Zealand charity is committed to eradicating avoidable PHYSICAL blindness.

But there is also SPIRITUAL blindness. We are reading about SPIRITUAL blindness in the Bible, the Word of the Living God. (Isaiah 59:10; Matthew 6:23; Matthew 15:14; Second Corinthians 3:14; Second Corinthians 4:4)

“BLINDNESS OF SINNERS.

Naturally we are-

blind to our condition before God, to the beauty of Christ, to the grace of God, to the things of the Lord, to the presence of Christ, to the need of the new birth, to the evil around.” – 1000 New Bible Readings by Dr. F. E. Marsh, page 33.

I WANT TO BELONG TO THOSE WHO ARE COMMITTED TO ERADICATING SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS!

What about YOU?
