“Share the Road”

“SHARE THE ROAD”

The big lorry was moving, but the letters on the back were so big that I was able to read: “SHARE THE ROAD.”

That is a very important message.

But there is a message that is even more important. That is the message:

“SHARE YOUR FAITH!”

The apostle Paul says to Philemon in verse six  (The letter has only 25 verses) “I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith,……” He is talking here about the faith of  Philemon in the Lord Jesus Christ.

We are already condemned. But we can cross over from death to life by hearing the word of the Lord Jesus Christ and by believing him who sent the Lord Jesus Christ. (John 5:24)

Are we active in sharing our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ? I am trying to be active!

“Love has no Limits.”

“LOVE HAS NO LIMITS.”

That’s what it says on the poster I saw at the meeting place of the local Salvation Army here in  Kaitaia on Commerce Street.

Have you heard about setting goals? I have!

Different people have different goals. But whenever someone reaches a goal there is disappointment.

Do you know what happened to some of  the early Apollo astronauts? Some of them became depressed and experienced emotional problems upon returning  from the moon.

That’s why it is good to have several  goals and different goals at the same time. But whenever they are reached there is again disappointment.

We must find a goal that cannot be reached!

What is that goal? That goal is love. The apostle Paul says in First Corinthians 14:1 “Make love your aim, …”

What is LOVE? That is probbaly now your question.

We find the answer in First Corinthians 13:4-7:

LOVE is patient, kind, not jealous, not boastful…….

Love has no limits!

“Kiwis cram a lot a living into ten years.”

“KIWIS CRAM A LOT OF LIVING INTO TEN YEARS.”

“Living” has quite a number of definitions. This is one definition I find in THE CONCISE COLLINS DICTIONARY:

“the manner in which one conducts one’s life.”

I don’t know if you have heard about C. H. Spurgeon. At the moment I am reading his Daily Readings MORNING AND EVENING. They are a great blessing.

Charles Haddon Spurgeon lived for the Lord Jesus Christ. He lived from 1834 – 1892. That are only 58 years. And this is why I am writing this: I AM AMAZED HOW MUCH LIVING FOR THE LORD JESUS CHRIST HE CRAMMED INTO THOSE 58 YEARS!

How much living for the Lord Jesus Christ do I cram into my life?

THE KEYWORD IS FAITH!

I have come to the conclusion that the word FAITH IS THE KEY!

“To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible.” – Thomas Aquinas

“To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary.”

Hebrews 11:3

“By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.”

“To one without faith, no explanation is possible.”

Do you have faith or are you without faith?

The Bible, the Word of the Living God says in Hebrews 11:6 “And without faith it is impossible  to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
