“Where Christ’s image is formed in people.” That’s how a church newsletter begins. We are reading of restoration into the image of Christ in Romans 8:29. “For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of  his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.”

The restoration happens through regeneration. It is a lifelong transformation.

In Galatians 4:19 the apostle Paul says, “My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you, how I wish I could be with you now and change my tone, because I am perplexed about you!”

This is what the Jamieson Fausset Brown Commentary on the Whole Bible says to “Christ be formed in you”:

1. That you may live nothing but Christ,

2. and think nothing but Christ,

3. and  glory in nothing  but Him, and

— His death,

— resurrection, and

— righteousness.

Footsteps!

Footsteps

“In the footsteps of Sir Ed” I am reading in the Franchise New Zealand magazine Winter 2011.

The first man to reach the 8848 metre summit of the highest mountain Mt Everest was Sir Edmund Hillary in 1953.

Only a handful of New Zealanders have followed his example to climb the highest peak.

That we should follow in the footsteps of the Lord Jesus Christ I am reading in the BIBLE,  the Word of the Living God. (First Peter 2:21)

The Lord Jesus Christ is our example.

He suffered for us. He died for us.

Please read here First Peter 2:22-25!

“He never sinned,………..”

I am praising the Lord that there are many in our town and our country who are walking in the footsteps of faith. (Romans 4:12) There are many worldwide who are saying with the Psalmist: (Psalm 119:133)

“Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me.”
