CHRISTIAN NOVELS

I received two Christian Novels (GIVEAWAY) written by J. L. Rubart: ROOMS and BOOK OF DAYS.

Finished reading ROOMS not long ago.

IF YOU HAVE READ ROOMS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT THE BOOK!!

PRAYER

“Prayer is a turning to God and without it our lives become progressively more self-centred. Through prayer we bind ourselves to God and without it we close ourselves up in our own solitude.” – Michel Quoist, The Christian Response

“…….; forget them as soon as you can.”

“Finish every day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities crept in; forget them as soon as you can.

Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Books! Books!

“I love reading books! They can take you to places you can only dream about………. imagine that!” is written on the McDonald’s paper cup I am looking at.

I also belong to those who love reading books!

“It is books that are a key to the wide world; if you can’t do anything else, read all that you can.” – Jane Hamilton, The book of Ruth

Read the “GOOD BOOK”! Read “THE BOOK OF BOOKS”! Read the BIBLE!

READ THE WORD OF GOD AND OBEY IT.

1. First John 2:5

“But if anyone  obeys his word, God’s love is truly made complete in him.”

2. First John 3:24

“Those who obey his commands live in him,…”

3. First John 5:3

“This is love for God: to obey his commands.”

4.  Second John 6

“And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands.”

In the book called GOOD IN EVERYTHING by H. L. Gee I found what GENERAL MONTGOMERY  said to some of his officers in North Africa:

“I read my BIBLE every day, gentlemen, and I recommend you to do the same.”
