YOUTH WEEK 19th – 27th MAY

“LOVE THE SKIN YOU’RE IN”

Youth Week finished today!

“Youth Week is all about recognising the amazing contributions and achievements of New Zealand’s youth! The week inspires our society to value, support, and affirm the diversity of its young people,” says the advertisement telling us about YOUTH WEEK.

The ad has a message for the young people and for the adults as well.

Here is the message for the adults:

“Be a positive role model. Value the efforts of young people. BE COMFORTABLE IN YOUR OWN SKIN. Be open and understanding. Listen – really listen! ENCOURAGE YOUNG PEOPLE TO SHARE THEIR STORIES, AND SHARE YOUR OWNBe supportive. Build self-confidence. Empower young people. Praise and trust. Join in with the acticvities young people enjoy. Encourage and reassure. REACH OUT TO YOUNG PEOPLE. Ensure that young people know they are important, cared for, and loved. Be positive.”

WE ARE ENCOURAGED TO SHARE OUR OWN STORY.

You find my own story on this blog!

WE ARE ENCOURAGED TO REACH OUT TO YOUNG PEOPLE.

I don’t only want to reach out to young people, I want to reach out to everybody!
