“You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I have lived through this horror. I can take the next things that come along’.” – Eleanor Roosevelt
Was I glad to read in our local paper, THE NORTHLAND AGE, Tuesday, March 5, 2013, that NEW ZEALAND BOOK MONTH is “a national campaign to build a nation of dedicated readers.”
I would like it to be a national campaign to build a nation of dedicated readers of the BIBLE.
“THE BOOK OF BOOKS”
WHY WOULD I LIKE THAT?
The answer is that the BIBLE is “THE BOOK OF BOOK.”
And here are two GOLDEN NUGGETS from “THE BOOK OF BOOKS”:
“But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all men. He did not need man’s testimony about man, for he knew what was in a man.” – John 2:24,25
“‘They are not just idle words for you – they are your life. By them you live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.'” – Deuteronomy 32:47
