“Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi engari he toa taki mano”

14. 02. 2013 120In the book called RAIN, HAIL OR SHINE by Tricia Irving I am reading:

“Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi engari he toa taki mano.” (Maori)

“My strength has not come from me alone, it has come from many.” (English)

I say with DAVID  (we read about him in the BIBLE),

“I love you, O LORD, my strength.” – Psalm 18:114. 02. 2013 099

“The LORD is my strength and my shield; …” – Psalm 28:7

“The LORD gives strength to his people; …” – Psalm 29:11

“O my Strength, I sing praise to you; you, O God, are my fortress, my loving God.” – Psalm 59:17

WHAT DO YOU SAY?

Looking FEAR in the Face

14. 02. 2013 120“You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I have lived through this horror. I can take the next things that come along’.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

NEW ZEALAND BOOK MONTH

New Zealand Book Month: 1st-31st March 2013.

Was I glad to read in our local paper, THE NORTHLAND AGE, Tuesday, March 5, 2013, that NEW ZEALAND BOOK MONTH is “a national campaign to build a nation of dedicated readers.”

I would like it to be a national campaign to build a nation of dedicated readers of the BIBLE.

Read the BIBLE!

“THE BOOK OF BOOKS”

WHY WOULD I LIKE THAT?

The answer is that the BIBLE is “THE BOOK OF BOOK.”

And here are two GOLDEN NUGGETS from “THE BOOK OF BOOKS”:

“But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all men. He did not need man’s testimony about man, for he knew what was in a man.” – John 2:24,25

“‘They are not just idle words for you – they are your life. By them you live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.'” – Deuteronomy 32:47
