Another flower I really like

It is exciting to read the article “Stop ageing in its tracks” in the 50+Lifestyle Magazine called FORWARD 50 (September/October 2013). I picked up a copy of the magazine in our local library.

It says there also “Scientific progress could see getting old disappear, writes David Templeton.” The first paragraph begins with this sentence, “Ageing is a disease, or so claims William Andrews.”

But it is even more exciting to read in the BIBLE about LIFE ETERNAL.

1. “You have no life in you” (John 6:53).

We do not have this life naturally.

2. “I am the life” (John 14:6).

The Substance of this life is the Lord Jesus Christ.

3. “Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent” (John 17:3).

The meaning of this life is the knowledge of God in Christ.

4. “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, …” (John 3:36).

How is this life received? It is received by faith in Christ.

5. “He has passed over from death to life” (John 5:24).

We pass from “death to life” by receiving the Lord Jesus Christ.

6. “Will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life” (John 4:14).

Its POWER is Christ’s indwelling.

7.  “We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers.”(First John 3:14).

This life reproduces likeness to itself.

Not long ago I heard over the radio about the death of the oldest person in the world. I think I remember correctly that the oldest person now is over hundred years old, but not more than 120 years. (Who has more information?)
