There is one day I am looking forward to and that is the SPRING Equinox, on Tuesday, September 23, 2014.
WHAT HAPPENS AT THE SPRING EQUINOX?
1. For me the most important thing that happens is that the days become longer than the nights.
2. Everywhere on planet EARTH day and night are of equal length.
3. The sun passes directly overhead at the equator.
But that is not the most important day I am looking forward to. The most important day I am looking forward to is the Second Coming of Christ. But we don’t know the date!
“Thanks for another fantastic issue, which I have read inside-out as usual,” begins the “STAR letter” in the magazine called “Wellbeing”. (WellBeing Issue 139)
I like the “read inside-out”.
To read inside-out means to read thoroughly.
It means also that the reading is carried out completely.
Nothing is left out. Every word is looked at.
The magazine or the book is read from cover to cover.
It means that the reading is carried out carefully.
Also time is taken to meditate over the words read.
Readers who read magazines (WellBeing) inside-out surely are an inspiration for us Bible readers to read the Bible, the Word of God, inside-out or continue to read the Bible inside-out.
“Your beautiful body is your temple,” I am reading in the magazine called WellBeing. (WellBeing Issue 146)
Which ardent reader of the Bible is not reminded of a question the apostle Paul is asking the “sanctified in Christ Jesus” in CORINTH, when reading those words?
The question he asks is:
“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?” – First Corinthians 6:19
He says also that we are not our own, that we have been bought at a price, and that we must honour God with our body.
The Bible says that our beautiful body is “a temple of the Holy Spirit”.
“All over the world in the most diverse situations are to be found Christian men and women who owe incalculable debt to the ministry of Dr D. Martyn Lloyd – Jones …”
I am reading that on the dust jacket of the Book called “God’s Ultimate Purpose” which is an exposition of EPHESIANS one. The book has 37 sermons and so far I have read the first 20! On the cover it says also:
“By that date Dr Lloyd – Jones had been more than 25 years in the ministry and his convictions on how Scripture should be taught were fully matured.”
I am one of those Christian men who owe incalculable debt to the ministry of Dr D. Martyn Lloyd – Jones.
