Second Chronicles 14:2-6

Intr.:

did what was

a.  good and

b.  right in the eyes of the LORD his God.

1.  He removed the foreign altars and

2.  the high places,

3.  smashed the sacred stones and

4.  cut down the Asherah poles.

5.  He commanded Judah to seek he LORD, the God of their fathers, and

6. to obey his laws and commands.

7.  He removed the high places and

8.  incense altars in every town in Judah, and the kingdom was at peace under him.

9.  He built up the fortified cities of Judah, since the land was at peace.

End:

No one was at war with him during those years, for the LORD gave him rest.”

PEACE THROUGH FRIENDSHIP.

The purpose of the World Day of Friendship is to encourage the progress of peace between people through friendship.

PEACE THROUGH THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.

In the Bible I am reading about “peace through Jesus Christ”. (Acts 10:36)

In the Bible I am also reading about “peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ”. (Romans 5:1)

In the Bible it speaks also about “peace through his [Christ’s] blood”. (Colossians 1:20)

There will only be peace between people through friendship with Jesus Christ.

You can read about the friendship with the Lord Jesus Christ in John chapter 15.

In John 15:14 the Lord Jesus Christ says, “You are my friends, if you do what I command.”
