Small Things

Has it ever happened to you that a small incident happened and you did not want to scream and you did not want to get mad, but you wanted to say something straight away.

Don’t say anything!

Remember that it says in Isaiah 30:15, “In quietness is you strength.”

DO I LOOK GRUMPY?

Wait until evening, go to sleep and keep on saying nothing.

I have done that and have been surprised that after a while the incident was not an issue any more or had resolved itself.

GEOENGINEERING

At the end of a Reader’s Digest article readers are asked what they think about ideas mentioned in the article and they are also encouraged to tell the editor.

The Article is called “Playing God with the climate” by professor Clive Hamilton and you find it in the August 2013 Reader’s Digest. I notice that that is quite some time ago.

"Recycling"

“Recycling”

There is a push towards geoengineering, because we have upset the balance of the earth’s climate. We are desperate to fix the climate.

Two ways are put forward to do so:

1.  Carbon atoms are the culprits and we must find out how to remove carbon dioxide.

2.  Solar radiation is also a problem and we must stop it. Our planet is getting too hot, too much sunlight is reaching the surface of the earth.

I don’t think I am going to tell the editor, but this is what I am reading in the Bible.

In Isaiah 51:6 the prophet says, “…, the earth will wear out like a garment…” Please read the whole verse.

In his second letter Peter says, “By the same word the present heaven and the earth are reserved for fire, …” and “… the elements will be destroyed by fire, …” Read the whole chapter three of Peter’s letter with the title “The Day of the Lord” in the NIV.
