The devils are united together as one person in their infamous rebellion, while we believers in Jesus are divided in our service of God, and scarcely ever work with unanimity.” – C. H. Spurgeon

WORRY

“That’s one less thing to worry about,” it says on the poster.

Lots is written and said about “worry”. Have you heard this about “worry”? “Today is tomorrow, you worried about yesterday.” Think about it!

Flowers at the Beach (Matthew 6:28)

The Bible says, ” Don’t worry about anything, instead pray about everything.” You find that in Philippians 4:6. That’s what Paul says. Praying means to tell God about everything.

Peter says in First Peter 5:7 “Give all your worries and cares to God, …” Why? “… for He cares about you.” We have something to give to God, namely our worries and and our cares.

Followers of the Lord Jesus Christ say with thankful hearts, “That’s one less thing to pray (not worry) about, when the Lord has answered their prayers.

I was able to do that not long ago! Praise the Lord!

LOGO and MOTTO

“Seek and defend the truth,” I read yesterday on the door of a small bus parked here in Kaitaia and what an encouragement that was for me. There was also what looked to me like a picture on the door. The bus belongs to the Kaitaia College and I was told that the picture is the Logo of the school and “Seek and defend the truth” is the motto of the College.

KAITAIA COLLEGE

What a message for the students.

What is truth? That is the question Pilate asked in John 18:38. There it says, “”What is truth?’ Pilate asked.”

In John 14:6 the Bible tells us that the Lord Jesus Christ is not only the truth, but that he is also the way and the life.

That means that we must seek him.

There is a beautiful promise in the Old Testament.

In Jeremiah 29:13 the LORD declares, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” I have actually done that in my teens.

John 17:3 is also one of my precious verses in the Bible. There it says, “‘Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.'”

The gospel is the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ.

In Second Thessalonians 1:8 we read about people who “do not know and who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

We are called to defend the the gospel. In Philippians 1:16 the Apostle Paul says, “I am put here for the defence of the gospel.” Read also Philippians 1:27.

What a message for the students at the College and for all young people everywhere and for all of us.
