GEOENGINEERING
At the end of a Reader’s Digest article readers are asked what they think about ideas mentioned in the article and they are also encouraged to tell the editor.
The Article is called “Playing God with the climate” by professor Clive Hamilton and you find it in the August 2013 Reader’s Digest. I notice that that is quite some time ago.
There is a push towards geoengineering, because we have upset the balance of the earth’s climate. We are desperate to fix the climate.
Two ways are put forward to do so:
1. Carbon atoms are the culprits and we must find out how to remove carbon dioxide.
2. Solar radiation is also a problem and we must stop it. Our planet is getting too hot, too much sunlight is reaching the surface of the earth.
I don’t think I am going to tell the editor, but this is what I am reading in the Bible.
In Isaiah 51:6 the prophet says, “…, the earth will wear out like a garment…” Please read the whole verse.
In his second letter Peter says, “By the same word the present heaven and the earth are reserved for fire, …” and “… the elements will be destroyed by fire, …” Read the whole chapter three of Peter’s letter with the title “The Day of the Lord” in the NIV.

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER FOR CHILDREN
SUNDAY 29 MARCH 2015
Where are the Christian Homes?
A Christian Home consists of a Father who fears the Lord, a Mother who fears the Lord and children who fear the Lord.
Where are the God-Fearing Parents?
“‘Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it,'” is God’s order. (Genesis 1:28)
1. Titus 2:4: Parents are to love their children.
2. Matthew 19:13,14: Parents are to bring their children to the Lord Jesus Christ when they are very young.
3. Proverbs 22:6:
Let me quote this verse:
“Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.”
4. Deuteronomy 32:46: We must teach our children to obey God and the laws of the country.
5. First Timothy 5:8 Having children is a great responsibility. Children need Food, clothing and education. Parents are to provide all that for their children.
6. Ephesians 6:4: Parents are not to exasperate their children.
Above all what? Let parents pray for their children.
Pray that they will be saved.
Pray that they will overcome sin.
Pray that they will …
