Bluelight Fundraising Stunt

I expected the fundraising at The Warehouse today to be canceled, because of the rain, but it was not.

Here are some pictures from the event:

Locked up!

Locked up!

Please read the post “… DOING TIME…” on this blog.

In spite of the continues rain the temporary lock-up was outside The Warehouse. I remember that the makeshift jail was inside the front door of The Warehouse last year and it was fine weather.

I learned also not to cancel things because of rain. The rain actually stopped when I went home and so far as I know the event was not finished. There was even a bit of sunshine.

“DROUGHT PRONE”

At the beach

At the beach

“GLOOMY OUTLOOK: Farmers in the Eastern South Island are praying for intervention from the skies above. There has been rain, but not enough to lift the drought,” it says underneath a picture in The National Farming Review, April 2015, magazine.

There are not only PHYSICAL DROUGHTS, but there are also SPIRITUAL DROUGHTS.

The theme of The National Farming Review, April 2015 is physical drought.

“Drought prone,” it says in big letters on the front cover and also “Mainland farmers face a tough winter.” “DRIED OUT: Drought supplement inside. p17-24,” I am reading underneath a small picture, also on the front page.

Spiritually we are also drought prone and do you feel dried out spiritually at times?

That’s why we must encourage one another to have our quiet time, to pray, to confess the Lord Jesus Christ and to win souls.

Study these lessons on Christian Living:

1. THE QUIET TIME: We grow cold and backslide, if we neglect our QUIET TIME.

2. PRAYER: In Luke 18:1 it says, “Men ought always to pray.”

3. CONFESSION OF CHRIST: Christ commanded to confess Him audibly in Matthew 10:32,33

4. WINNING SOULS: There are several reasons for being a soul winner. Here are two: a. The worth of a soul. b. The fact of hell.

I rather be in a physical drought than in a spiritual drought. Why? Because the Lord hears our prayers, also our prayers for rain!

The Cross

The Cross

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people,

Colossians 3:12-14

Intr.:

holy and dearly loved,

clothe yourself with

1. compassion,

2. kindness,

3. humility,

4. gentleness and

5. patience.

6. Bear with each other and

7. forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive, as the Lord forgave you.

End:

And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”
