Quote
“Regeneration is a subject which lies at the very basis of salvation, and we should make a special effort to determine whether or not we are “born again,” for there are many who fancy they are, who are not – C. H. Spurgeon
AWANUI
AWANUI is a township in the Far North District of New Zealand, 6 km north of Kaitaia. (“Large river.”)
REASON FOR THIS POST:
Most visitors to New Zealand are going to Cape Reinga. All tourists who have been at Cape Reinga have passed through Awanui.
I am thinking of all the people and their stories from all over the world who have passed through Awanui.
Please let me know if you are one of them.

Seen TODAY:
HABITS
“First we make our habits, then our habits make us!”
I read that not long ago, and I wish that I could tell you who said that, but I cannot.
I really like the quote. Think about the quote, the quote is full of meaning, and that’s why I say again:
“First we make our habits, then our habits make us!
We as parents have special duties: to train, to teach, to provide for, to nurture, to control, to love, to correct, and to instruct our children.
Our children are the next generation.
“Leave a legacy for generations to come,” says an advertisement in the paper today. (The New Zealand Herald, Monday, March 8, 2018)
For almost 25 years we worked as missionaries in KAIKOHE (United Maori Mission)
One of our tasks was to train people to go into the schools to teach the Bible. I remember the training days in Kerikeri at the Baptist Church. I taught the Bible not only in a school in Kaikohe, but also in many schools around Kaikohe. We also supplied the schools with literature, especially for the Christmas season.
And I believe we left a legacy for generations to come.
The Bible says, “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.”
You find that in verse in Proverbs 22:6. (NIV)
PROMISES
“A promise means nothing until it is delivered,” says the magnet on our fridge door.
There are promises concerning the First Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in the Bible and there are promises concerning the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in the Bible.
A. PROMISES CONCERNING THE FIRST COMING OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST (the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ):
a. The promise that Christ would be born in Bethlehem. Micah 5:2
The promise is fulfilled: Please read Luke 2:4-7
b. The promise that he would be born of a virgin. Isaiah 7:14
The promise is fulfilled: Please read Matthew 1:18,22,23
c. The promise that the birth would be announced by a forerunner. Isaiah 40:3
The promise is fulfilled: Please read Matthew 3:3
B. PROMISES CONCERNING THE SECOND COMING OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST:
a. Promised by the Lord Jesus Christ himself – Matthew 25:31.
b. Promised by the Apostle Paul – First Timothy 6:14.
c. Promised by angels – Acts 1:10,11.
Just as the promises concerning the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ have been fulfilled, the promises concerning the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ will also be fulfilled.
