Anzac Day-25/4/2008

I am working on a leaflet for Anzac Day and maybe I can even get the leaflets printed before the 25th of April. I am in touch with printers.

I know there is so much activity (christian) going on– but what we need is more earnest prayer!

LEST WE FORGET

In front of the New Lynn Library in Auckland you can see a monument with the following writing: “LEST WE FORGET- In memory of those who served and gave their lives.”

When I read that today I straight away thought : LEST WE FORGET- In memory of Him who served and gave his life!

I am thinking now of course about the life of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

It is all very well to think about the people who died in the wars. I also lost my father in the second world war. I never knew him. I never met him. I have no memories of him. In fact I don’t even know where he died. Probably it was in Czechoslovakia. Maybe it was not. Who knows? So far as I know his name is not written on one of those monuments. There are also many like me who grew up without a father. It is sad to grow up wihout a father; but if you have to you have to. I had to anyway.
OK, we should not forget our dead soldiers who died in battle. But if we should forget, there are not too many consequences. But if we forget the Lord Jesus Christ and what He has done for us there are eternal consequences. We are all living forever either with the Lord or without him.

Because in order to stand before God the Father, we need the righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ, because we are all sinners. As we are born we cannot stand before God, the Father.

When the Lord Jesus Christ becomes our personal Saviour, God becomes our heavenly Father and looks after us. From my own experience I can say it is so good to be able to say,” My Father in Heaven!”

Mark 10:45

WAS IST LIEBE?

Don’t miss your chance (offer-time of grace) to be found….

I was looking for a phone number in the phone book and the book opened automatically where it says: “Don’t miss your chance to be found.” “Drive more buyers to your business.” ” Book today. 0800 803 803″

Eventually I found the number I was looking for.

Don’t miss your chance to be found. Straight away this came to my mind: Don’t miss your chance ( offer-time of grace) to be found by the Lord.

The meaning of course is: Don’t miss your chance to be found in the PHONE BOOK!

But this is more important, in fact it is the most important thing in your life: Don’t miss your chance (offer- time of grace) to be found in the BOOK OF LIFE.

The Bible, the Word of the Living God, talks quite a bit about the Book of Life: Exodus 32:32; Psalm 69:29; Daniel 12:1; Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:5; Revelation 17:8; Revelation 20:12,15–

PS: On top of everything else we cannot miss our chance to be known by our creator. He knows us! Psalm 139, the whole Psalm, especially the verses 7-10.
