“Creating Peaceful Pathways”

“Two slain in family home” is the headline in the paper today!

And it was only yesterday that I said I would write about “Creating Peaceful Pathways”.

In fact the flyer about “creating peaceful pathways” has been in my possession for a long time. It is all about workshops. The workshops are “offering conflict resolution skills to change lives”.

We are aware of conflict. Our environment is no longer safe. Our communities are no longer safe. We cannot trust our relationships.

What is the answer?

In the leaflet here before me I read about a belief:

There is a power for peace in  everyone. There is a power for good in everyone. And this power has the ability to transform people and situations.

The workshops are also listed. There is a basic workshop and then there are the advanced workshops.

Is that the answer?

I ask the question once more.

What is the answer?

What is the formula that would get us on to peaceful pathways?

There is “warfare” almost everywhere!

Why is that?

We have rejected God. Peace comes from God. Why do we war with one another? Because of SIN! What is SIN? Sin is that we have declared war against God.

Billy Graham says:

“Only Christ can cancel sin and create a peace treaty with God and then between men.”

Success is a Big Subject

Read just now a tweet on success, but  I don’t remember it.

Here is a quote:

“Success will not lower its standard to us. We must raise our standard to success.”

Rev. Randall R. McBride, jr.

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE, THE WORD OF THE LIVING GOD SAY?

Read Joshua 1:7; Joshua 1:8

Storms

“I’ m not afraid of storms, for I’ m learning to sail my ship.”

Louisa May Alcott

Do you know what?

A bit of a song comes to my mind: “With Christ in the vessel I can smile at the storm.” Don’t know the rest!

My question is:

What is humanistic teaching and what is biblical teaching?
