“THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD

Psalm 23

Intr.:

I shall not be in want.

1. He makes me lie down in green pastures,

2. he leads me beside still waters,

3. he restores my soul.

4. He guides me in  the path of righteousness

— for his name’s sake.

5. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

a. I will fear no evil,

b. for you are with me;

c. your rod  and your staff they comfort me.

6. You prepare a table before me

— in the pesence of my enemies.

7. You anoint my head with oil;

8. my cup overflows.

End:

Surely goodness and love

— will follow me all the days of my life, and

— I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

Yesterday, Tomorrow and Today! Present Past and Future!

“I am grateful to the client who embroidered and framed for me the words, ‘Yesterday is history, tomorrow is mystery, today is a gift and that’s why we call it the present.’ Living in the present is a challenge. Past experiences can come back to bite us and anxiety about the future can take away the joy and pleasure of living today.”

Don’t Stop Learning!

“There is no experience from which you can’t learn something.

When you stop learning you stop living in any vital and meaningful sense. And the purpose of life after all is to take experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experiences.”

Eleanor Roosevelt
