TRAINING CHILDREN
In the PLAYCENTRE JOURNAL (Winter 2011, Issue 141) I am reading on the back page:
“Do not train children to learning by force and harshness, but direct them to it by what amuses their minds, so that you may be better able to discover with accuracy the peculiar bent of the genius of each.” – Plato
The Bible, the Word of the Living God says:
“TRAIN A CHILD IN THE WAY HE SHOULD GO, AND WHEN HE IS OLD HE WILL NOT TURN FROM IT.” – Proverbs 22:6
“One generation will commend your works to another;
Psalm 145:4-7
Intr.:
they will tell of your mighty acts.
1. They will speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty,
and I will meditate on your wonderful works.
2. They will tell of the power of your awesome works,
and I will proclaim your great deeds.
3. They will celebrate your abundant goodness
and joyfully sing of your righteousnss.”
End:
“NO AGENCY CAN PENETRATE SO DEEPLY,…… ABIDE SO PERSISTENTLY AND INFLUENCE SO DARINGLY AS THE PRINTED PAGE.” – Samuel Zwerner
