“I made a mental note, but forgot where I put it.”
What a good ?:
“HOW DO YOU THROW AWAY YOUR OLD RUBBISH BINS?”
Yesterday, on my walk to the centre of Kaitaia, I noticed some writing on the back of a parked car on my right.
Something about loving people and preparing food for people was written there, if I remember correctly. With other words I think it was all about feeding people.
Not thinking much about it, because I really cannot cook and don’t like to work in the kitchen, I kept on walking.
I do the dishes though. That the Bible, the Word of the Living God says that we don’t live by bread alone, but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God, did not enter my mind at that time either.
As I said before, I kept on walking, but maybe not only a minute, when I heard somebody speaking the German language. For those who don’t know, I am from Germany.
Where does that voice come from? When I looked around, I noticed that it came from another parked car on my right again. Three young men from Germany , tourists, where sitting in the car.
I started a conversation with them, told them a bit about me and told them also what the Lord Jesus Christ had done for me.
After leaving them it came to me that feeding people does not only mean feeding the body, but feeding the soul as well.
In this case it was telling them about the Lord, being a witness!
ARE YOU WALKING IN DARKNESS?
“‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'” – John 8:12
ARE YOU CONNECTED?
I am looking at my computer screen and clicking on “Connect To”. Next I am clicking on “Show all connnections”. Under “Network Tasks” I click on “Create a new connection”.
You must be bored with my clicking by now! But if you keep on clicking, you have eventual access to the Internet.
But what I really want to talk to you about is how I accessed the GRACE OF GOD, or rather how the Lord Jesus Christ accessed the grace of God for me. Let us read two verses from the Bible, from the Authorized Version:
Ephesians 2:18 “For through Him (Christ) we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.”
Ephesians 3:12 “In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of Him.”
We have access first to salvation, then to prayer.
I have learned that the moment a sinner accepts the Lord Jesus Christ or rather the Lord Jesus Christ accepts a sinner, 38 things are happening.
There are things in relation to God the Father, in relation to God the Son, in ralation to God the Holy Spirit, in relation to sin, in relation to satan and in relation to others; altogether 38 things.
Here are some of them: We are adopted as a son into the famiy of God. We are elected. We are accepted in the Beloved. We are baptized into the body of Christ…..
Thirtyeight things are happening to us the moment we accept the Lord as Saviour. 38 things happened to me also when I accepted the Lord as my Saviour, but when that happened I was only conscious of peace.
My connection with the Lord Jesus Christ, the light of the world, took place on the 2nd of September. I was 18 years of age at that time!
Access to the grace of God is only one of the thirtyeight things. Access to the grace of God goes under the category In relation to God the Father.
What is grace?
Grace is that God loves us with a love we don’t deserve.
Grace is a quality of God. We only need to exercise faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and the grace of God leads God to pour blessings upon us. And not only that. The grace of God leads God to provide SALVATION from sin.
Believe me, I am very thankful for my ACCESS to the internet, because of my access to the internet, I can tell you that you can have access to SALVATION!
AND REMEMBER, THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD!
