“… the single biggests killer….”

“Road crashes are the single biggest killer of 15 to 19-year-old New Zealanders and we need parents to stay involved when their teenagers are learning to drive to help prepare them for the responsibility of solo driving.” – NZ Transport Agency chief executive Geoff Dangerfield

COMMUNITY RELATIONS

The presence of TV may damage community relations. I am reading that in the COFFEE NEWS, Vol 126:4. That’s what the citizens of the remote villages in Turkey’s RIZE province are saying.

Their choice is not to have TVs.

FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS

David Riddell in his book LIVING WISDOM regards TV as potentially dangerous and he gives seven reasons. He says that TV is an interrupter. (LIVING WISDOM, page 235, reason #3 )

He says, “It disrupts the quality and type of communication upon which good family relationships are built.”

OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

Do YOU have a relationship with the Living God?

We have learned already that the citizens of the RIZE province in Turkey saying that the presence of televisions may damage community relations and that TV disrupts family relationships.

WHAT DOES IT DO TO YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LIVING GOD?

Inside the big box was the TV and on the box was written something like this: “The World in your Home.”

The Bible says in 1 John 2:15: “LOVE NOT THE WORLD.”

We don’t have television on our home! Never have and never will!
