Today I asked someone at the mealtable, “What do you think, is worldwide the most desired trait in  a mate for both sexes?”

Why did I ask that question? Because I read in in old Reader’s Digest (November 2007) about a University of Texas study by Professor David Buss.

“IN A STUDY OF 37 CULTURES, 16,000 SUBJECTS WERE ASKED ABOUT THE MOST DESIRED TRAITS IN A MATE. FOR BOTH  SEXES, THE FIRST PREFERENCE WAS KINDNESS.”

When I received “Kindness”  as an answer, I was so excited that I threw my arms up in the air and said, “You got it!”

And what does the Bible say?

 “LOVE is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.” – First Corinthians 13:4

Conscience is the sense of right and wrong that governs my thoughts and my actions.

That says an advertisement on the front page of our local paper, THE NORTHLAND AGE, November 8, 2012.

“Keep out of debt and owe no man anything, except to love one another; …” We read that in the Bible, in Romans 13:8.  (The Amplified Bible).

“A clear conscience makes a soft pillow.”
