PLease let me know!

“You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine.
Titus 2:1-5; Titus 2:15
Intr.:
Teach
A. the older men
1. to be temperate,
2. worthy of respect,
3. self-controlled, and
4. sound
a. in faith,
b. in love and
c. in endurance.
Likewise, teach
B. the older women
1. to be reverent in the way they live, not
2. to be slanderers or
3. addicted to much wine, but
4. to teach what is good.
5. Then they can train the younger women
a. to love their husbands and
b. children,
c. to be self-controlled and
d. pure,
e. to be busy at home,
f. to be kind, and
g. to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.”
End:
“These, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you.”
“IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR PAINLESS WAYS TO GROW TOWARD EACH OTHER AND TOWARD MATURITY, CALL OFF THE SEARCH.” – J. Grant Howard
“FAMILY IS LIFE’S GREATEST GIFT.”
Look into one of the shop windows here in Kaitaia at the present time, and you can see those words neatly framed.
I cannot agree with what I am reading there.
But I agree with what Alban Douglas says. He says that CHRIST is the greatest gift.
“Next to the gift of Christ and the Holy Spirit, the Bible is the third greatest gift.” (ONE HUNDRED BIBLE LESSONS by Alban Douglas, page 88)
The Lord Jesus Christ did a work for us. He was sent of God to do so.
In the Gospel of John we read 43 times that he was ‘sent’. In John’s Gospel we find also the purpose why he was sent. Read John 20:31. There it says,
“But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.”
As the Messiah he has-
1. He died for us while we were still sinners. (Romans 5:8)
2. He was raised from the dead for us. (Romans 6:9)
3. The Lord Jesus Christ lives in us. (Galatians 2:20)
4. He has redeemed us from the curse of the law. (Galatians 3:13)
5. He brings us near to God. (Ephesians 2:13)
6. The Lord Jesus Christ strengthens us. (Philippians 4:13)
7. The Lord is the object for our concentration in life. (Philippians 4:13)
But of course, people who have accepted the greatest gift, the Lord Jesus Christ, have the greatest life, and that includes the FAMILY.
