“A LAMP” and “A LIGHT”

“YOUR WORD IS A LAMP TO MY FEET AND A LIGHT FOR MY PATH.” – Psalm 119:105

Bind them upon your heart forever; fasten them around your neck.

"A LAMP TO MY FEET"

“A LAMP TO MY FEET”

1. When you walk, they will guide you;

2. when you sleep, they will watch over you;

3. when you awake, they will speak to you.

For these commandments are a lamp, this teaching is a light, …” – Proverbs 6:20-23

AM I FOOLISH?

YESTERDAY I WENT TO CHURCH TO LISTEN TO A SERMON.

I am reading that it is well known that the hearer of a sermon only remembers 10 per cent  of what he has heard by the time he leaves the church or the meeting room. (90 per cent is forgotten.)

What am I doing with the ten per cent I remember? Do I put the 10 per cent into practice or don’t I put the ten per cent into practice?

And I really hope I have not forgotten 90 per cent of the sermon I heard yesterday. Or have I?

The Lord Jesus Christ says we are like a foolish man if we don’t put His words into practice! You can read that in the Bible in Matthew 7:26
