Quote

While others still slept, He went away to pray and renew His strength in communion with His Father. He had need of this, otherwise He would not have been ready for the new day. The holy work of delivering souls demands constant renewal through fellowship with God. – Andrew Murray

The Bible is quite explicit in saying that there is only one way of arriving at a knowledge of ultimate truth, and that is to accept the revelation which is given in the Bible. – Martyn Lloyd – Jones

Quote

The one concern of the devil is to keep Christians from praying. He fears nothing from prayerless  studies, prayerless work, prayerless religion. He laughs at our toil, mocks at our wisdom, but trembles when we pray.” – Samuel Chadwick

GYROSCOPE

An ocean steamer has a gyroscope to help stabilize the ship, when the sea is rough. A gyroscope helps the vessel also to maintain a high degree of equilibrium.

GYROSCOPE

GYROSCOPE

Don’t you think it would be a good Idea to have a gyroscope inside us to keep us on an even keel? I think so.

I don’t need to tell you about the storms of life. You probably know them better than I do.

There are the waves of discouragement.

Someone said, “You can tell how big a person is by what it takes to discourage him.”

There are the waves of bad habits.

“The best way to break a habit is to drop it.”

There are the waves of worry.

Remember, “Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.”

There are the waves of hurts.

Someone said, “Facing your hurts won’t kill you; burying them may!”

Add to the list the waves of sorrow, suffering, temptation and testing – and at the end you have to face the typhoon of death.

When the Holy Spirit dwells in our hearts our souls will be kept on an even keel, our souls will be kept in perfect peace and we will be able to live a stable life.

I saw that once happening in Bangkok / Thailand.

First of all I thought, “no that can’t be him,” but it was the missionary whose wife had just died in a traffic accident, walking upright not very far from me.

What a testimony!
