Sermon Outline – OT – NIV

THE CROSS

THE CROSS

“Moses and Aaron then went into the Tent of Meeting.

Leviticus 9:23-24

Intr.:

When they came out,

1.  they blessed the people; and

2.  the glory of the LORD appeared to all the people.

3.  Fire came out from the presence of the LORD and consumed

a.  the burnt offering and

b.  the fat portions on the altar.

End:

And when all the people saw it, they shouted for joy and fell facedown.”

“MY MOTHER ALWAYS TOLD ME …”

“My mother always told me …,” I am reading in the magazine called “that’s life!” (August 19, 2013). And in that issue a reader from Australia says,

“My mother always told …

We never know the worth of water until the well is dry.”

One trait that is despised is ingratitude.

THE WELL

THE WELL

And don’t we all know that we could be more thankful?

We receive good things from the Lord and from other people. We must practice seeing that. How can we do that?

I have learned that it is a great help to write down all the good things, one by one.

But not only that.

We must realize the good things in our hearts and sing a hymn to the Lord and most of all we must say a prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord.

This is how my list starts:

1. RUNNING WATER.

2.

3.

What is the first thing you are writing down on your list?

What is LOVE? (Saint Valentine’s Day)

WHAT IS LOVE?

First Corinthians 13:4-8

Intr.:

1. “Love is patient,

2.  love is kind.

3.  It does not envy,

"LOVE"

“LOVE”

4.  it does not boast,

5.  it is not proud.

6.  It is not rude,

7.  it is not self-seeking,

8.  it is not easily angered,

9.  it keeps no record of wrongs.

10.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

11.  It always protects,

12.  always trusts,

13.  always hopes,

14.  always perseveres.

End:

Love never fails.”

“Relax – in HIS Presence”

I found this in a church newsletter:

Do you also see the SERMON OUTLINE? I think you do!

“Trust – in HIS Timing

Rely – on HIS Promises

Wait – for HIS Answers

Believe – in HIS Miracles

Rejoice – in HIS Goodness

Relax –  in HIS Presence”

Why do you think I started this post with: “Relax – in HIS Presence?”

“feed your soul”

“If we can continue to

capture your imagination,

feed your soul,

stimulate your intellect and

entertain you

every issue, then I am doing as good a job as those who went before me,” writes the editor of THE AUSTRALIAN WOMEN’S WEEKLY New Zealad Edition, October 2013, in her Editor’s letter.

When I read “feed your soul,” a verse from  the Bible came to my mind, namely Matthew 4:4, where it says:

“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” (Authorized Version)
