Spend Time with your Kids

All the years our two children lived under our roof I spent a lot of time with them. I had the opportunity to do so, and I really did. “Did I spend too much time?” I am asking myself even now.

Yesterday I picked up an old Readers’s Digest (July 2002): In the article “How do you find God?” children were asked  by the writers during December: “What is the very best gift you could receive?”

I doubt it that you will guess the answer. The overwhelming choice was that they were longing for more time with their parents.

I don’t think I spent too much time with my son and my daughter. End of story!

"REVIVAL"

“REVIVAL”

.I remember hearing D Martyn Lloyd – Jones preach once.

From May to September 1963 – more than 50 years ago – I stayed in London in the southeast  (!9 Highland Road ) at a Mission HQ, and someone who was going as a missionary to Liberia (Africa) took me to Westminster Chapel in Buckingham Gate to hear ‘the Doctor’, as he was called.

But I cannot remember anything about the sermon, which is not surprising. My English was not up to scratch at that time either.

Silver, Gold, Diamonds

Today I read in the book MORNING AND EVENING Daily Readings by C. H. Spurgeon what I have experienced myself.

He writes:

“As one remarks, ‘If the Lord does not pay in silver, He will in gold; and if He does not pay in gold, He will pay in diamonds.'”

YOU can experience the same!
