UN INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2014 UN INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE

We are hearing about wars. We are hearing about divisions. We are hearing about violent divisions.

Our questions are:

How can men be reconciled?

THE CROSS

THE CROSS

How can nations be reconciled?

How can PEACE be obtained?

Where do we find the answer?

Let us listen to the message of the Bible:

The Bible shows us that we are desperately needy people. The Bible tells us about the grace of God, the CROSS of the Lord Jesus Christ, the breaking down of walls, and the reconciliation of all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

GOD’S WAY OF RECONCILIATION IS THE ONLY WAY!

The idea that we can be born again one day, then sin and lose our eternal life, and then be born again, and thus oscillate between the two positions, is based on an utter ignorance of the doctrine of regeneration.” – DM Lloyd-Jones

CARING AND LOOKING AFTER

“Caring for our Community,” and “Dedicated to looking after you,” is written on the small Pharmacy paper bag, I received not long ago. No need to tell you that medicine was in the bag.

HARAKEKE (Flax)

It is an encouragement to know that someone is caring for you and looking after you, is it not?

But I am glad, that that is not the only place, where I read about caring and looking after.

In the Bible, in the New Testament, it says in First Peter 5:7,

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

In the Bible it says in the Old Testament in Ezekiel 34:11,

“‘For this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I myself will search for my sheep and look after them.'”

Maybe you want to read the whole of chapter 34 entitled “Shepherds and Sheep”?

Do I need to remind you that the words on the paper bag are written by human beings and the words in the Bible are Words of God, the Holy Spirit? I don’t think so.
