The Book I am reading just now
Quote
Quote
Then, for your own comfort’s sake, and for your sake of your growth in grace, if you are a Christian, be a Christian, and be a marked and distinct one.” – C. H. Spurgeon
GAINING THE VICTORY
“Together with you we are No. 1,” it says on the number plate of the plumber van.
Reading that reminds me of what David says in the Psalms:
“With my God I can scale a wall.” – Psalm 18:29
“With your help I can advance against a troop.” (“With your help I can run through a barricade.”) – Psalm 18:29
“With God we will gain the victory.”
“And he will trample down our enemies.” – Psalm 60:12
I don’t know if the plumber believes what is written on the number plate, but I believe what is written in the Bible.
I will be the victor!

GOALS
Goals have power.
On my way to the town centre this afternoon, I saw a big advertisement with an important message. I was not only inspired to take a picture of the advert, but I really wanted the image and it was a beautiful day to take it.
But I did not have my camera on me. And I was too tired to go home to fetch it and continued to walk to the shop.
After doing what I wanted to do in town I still had the taking of the picture on my mind and I told myself to go home and get the camera to take it. Who knows how the weather is tomorrow?
All of a sudden all my tiredness was gone and I did not really run but walked quickly to fetch the camera.
Goals have a pulling power and we need to have them.
A PRESCRIPTION
A prescription for depressed people:
“With what you take in you make a living; with what you give you make a life.”
“I don’t know what your destiny will be, but one thing I do know: the only ones among you who will be really happy are those who have sought and found to serve.” – Albert Schweitzer
“Taking care of the people around you, and in turn being cared for by others, creates stronger health, vitality and positivity. People should nourish people.” – Olivia van Lierop
“HE WHO REFRESHES OTHERS WILL HIMSELF BE REFRESHED.” – Proverbs 11:25
Tell me please, if the prescription works.
What do you see?
WHAT DO YOU SEE?
In the Gospel of John Chapter six the Lord Jesus Christ fed the Five Thousand. (John 6:1-15)
We are hearing about Philip, Andrew and a boy.
WHAT DOES PHILIP SEE?
Philip saw the cash – and it is not enough.
WHAT DOES ANDREW SEE?
Andrew saw the crowd – and there are too may.
WHAT DOES THE BOY SEE?
The boy saw the Lord Jesus Christ – and He was sufficient.
What do you see?
