I was looking for a phone number in the phone book and the book opened automatically where it says: “Don’t miss your chance to be found.” “Drive more buyers to your business.” ” Book today. 0800 803 803″
Eventually I found the number I was looking for.
Don’t miss your chance to be found. Straight away this came to my mind: Don’t miss your chance ( offer-time of grace) to be found by the Lord.
The meaning of course is: Don’t miss your chance to be found in the PHONE BOOK!
But this is more important, in fact it is the most important thing in your life: Don’t miss your chance (offer- time of grace) to be found in the BOOK OF LIFE.
The Bible, the Word of the Living God, talks quite a bit about the Book of Life: Exodus 32:32; Psalm 69:29; Daniel 12:1; Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:5; Revelation 17:8; Revelation 20:12,15–
PS: On top of everything else we cannot miss our chance to be known by our creator. He knows us! Psalm 139, the whole Psalm, especially the verses 7-10.

I was actually quite surprised to see the following writing:
“How many roads must a man walk down, before he admits he is lost”
Many are even walking down to the grave without admitting that they are lost sinners!

THERE IS ALWAYS TALK ABOUT THE FUTURE
A big poster says,” New Lynn Rail Trench– Separating rail and road for a better FUTURE!” And a couple of meters away I encounter the future again. But they are talking here about the same project. It says,” Creating a bright future!”
And then you can buy a small shopping bag for only 99 cents. It says,” Make a difference- Reduce–Reuse–Recycle–Help us to create a better environment- Every bag counts.” I only hope that we are not haunted by the future.
While we used to be in Thailand I remember listening to a speech by the former US president R. Nixon and he was working towards a better future for the next generation.
Only a couple of days ago I picked up the local paper and there is also a politician talking about the future, “The future our kids deserve.” In the article it says: “National has outlined policy that forms part of our plan for giving young people the future they deserve.”
But what about your FUTURE? What about my FUTURE? I am so glad that my future is in the hands of the almighty living God, the creator of heaven and earth. And that includes not only my life on planet earth, but that includes also my eternal life with our eternal God.
From the first time I read the following translated into the German language about 50 years ago I was deeply impressed with what John Oxenham had to say and I am still very much impressed after 50 years:

Don’t save anything for a special occasion. Being alive is the special occasion. ( I hope I am going to learn that!)—Especially for those who belong to the LORD JESUS CHRIST!
I read this recently on a big poster:
“Thankfully, refinancing to get control of your life is about as demanding as this. (Picture of a piece of cake) We’d like to show you how refinancing for a better FUTURE really is a piece of cake.”
The BIBLE, the word of the living God says in Romans 13:8 : Owe nothing to anyone- except for the obligation to love one another.” END OF STORY ! You may have read this “END of Story” in other advertisements, for example, “Made to last-End of Story” etc.
Owe nothing to anyone-End of Story!
But is it? NO, for most of mankind it is not!
If we would do what the BIBLE says, we would not have to worry about A BETTER FUTURE and TO GET CONTROL OF OUR LIFE as the poster is telling us.
If we would do what the BIBLE says, we would have a better future, not only in this life, but also in the life to come. And remember, that the LORD should be in control of our lives and not we. Once the Lord is in control of our lives, we are also in control of our finances.
