John 15:14,15

“You are my FRIENDS if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you FRIENDS, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.”

THE ‘KEEPING US SAFE’ MORNING TEA

This afternoon somebody who saw me at the meeting “The ‘Keeping us Safe’  Morning Tea” this morning stopped me to talk. I found out that it was the mother of the coordinater of the event.

“Did you enjoy the meeting?” I was asked. Of course, I enjoyed the presentations of the different guest speakers from Fire Safety, Age Concern, Arthritis New Zealand and CPTED. (Crime Prevention through Environmental Design)

I told the lady who stopped me, that  I was especially  interested in the  subject of Crime Prevention (I asked for the notes of the  Lecture) and  I also explained to her why: We used to work with the United Maori Mission in Kaikohe preaching the Gospel. Preaching the Gospel to people is the best Crime Prevention. We have to come back to a living relationship with our Creator, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Fear of God.

I was not arrested!

I was not arrested yesterday, but I experienced what it says in Matthew 10:19,  “But when they arrest you,…..”  Please read Matthew 10:16-20.

A person I respect talked all of a sudden about “Heaven” and “The man upstairs” in the course of our conversation.P1060373

I opened my mouth and talked about my belief in the Lord Jesus Christ for a couple of minutes. Four people were present in the room.

Later on I said to one of the four people, “I am really surprised how the words flowed out of my mouth and how the Lord helped me to say what I said.”

I hope you have read the portion of Scripture in  Matthew 10:16-20 – Matthew is one of the 66 books of the Bible –  as suggested, and if you have you will remember that it says in Matthew 10:16, “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves.”

And that are the words of our Lord Jesus Christ!

My FUTURE is so bright I need Shades

Jeremiah 29:11

” ‘For I know the plans I  have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a FUTURE.’ “

One man I talked to today believes the New Age teaching. He said it is similar to Baha’i.

On Commerce Street here in Kaitaia I ran into two German atheists.

At the ASB Bank I met another German. Our meeting was very short. He was in a rush to go to the  hairdresser. But from what he told me I believe that he believes in the Lord Jesus Christ and has the FUTURE Jeremiah 29:11 is talking about.

“ARE YOU DREAMING OF A WHITE CHRISTMAS?”

“Are you dreaming of a white Christmas?”

I am reading that question in the Lifestyle newspaper for the 50+ called “OLDER AND BOLDER”. And now please read carefully. I am reading that in the MAY-JUNE 2009 Auckland issue.

The question is asked by a Travel Group. No, I am not dreaming of socalled “European Winter Magic”. EUROPE is too cold for me in Winter!

The Travel Group offers Christmas and New Year Tours. On those tours you can experience the Christmas ‘magic’ and the Christmas (2009) of a lifetime. You can experience a lifetime Fairytale Christmas, a German Fairytale Christmas at a German Christmas Market.

At the bottom of the page we are encouraged to “Make this Christmas a holiday that you will remember forever!”

In the article we are also told about Christmas as it should be: ” Imagine all those picture perfect Christmas Cards with snow covered forest paths, merry crowds and pink cheeked, laughing children wrapped in bright red scarves and woolen hats.”
