CRIME STOPPERS
At least twice I find an encouragement to be a Crime Stopper in one of our local papers, the NORTHERN NEWS, on Page two and on page fifteen. (Northern News, October 19, 2011)
The public is encouraged to speak up. It’s anonymous.
The Bible, the Word of the Living God, is also encouraging us to be a crime stopper.
We are encouraged to speak up for the Lord Jesus Christ and it is not anonymous.
“He said to them, ‘GO INTO ALL THE WORLD AND PREACH THE GOOD NEWS TO ALL CREATION.'” – Mark 16:16
In Matthew 28:20 we read: “‘…….., and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.'”
Read also Exodus 20:1-17 in the Old Testament.
“‘Suppose there is a righteous man
Ezekiel 18:5-9
Intr.:
who does what is
just and
right.
1. He does not eat at the mountain shrines
2. or look to the idols of the house of Israel.
3. He does not defile his neighbour’s wife
4. or lie with a woman during her period.
5. He does not oppress anyone,
6. but returns what he took in pledge for a loan.
7. He does not commit robbery
8. but gives his food to the hungry and
9. provides clothing for the naked.
10. He does not lend at usury
11. or take excessive interest.
12. He withhelds his hand from doing wrong, and
13. judges fairly between man and man.
14. He follows my decrees and
15. faithfully keeps my laws.
End:
That man is righteous;
he will surely live,
declares the Sovereign LORD.'”
“I always turn to the sports section first. The sports section records people’s accomplishments; the front page – nothing but man’s failures.” – Earl Warren, Former US Chief Justice)
“Next to the might of God, the serene beauty of a holy life is the most powerful influence for good in the world.” – D. L. Moody

“RETIREMENT TODAY.”
“Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life.” – Confucius
I am reading those words of Confucius in the article “Keith Quinn in the box seat” by Kate Pierson. (Retirement Today, Issue 6, 2011-2012)
In the article it says that Quinn has referenced those words of Confucius in the past.
I have chosen a job I love or I should rather say that the Lord has chosen a job for me I love.
I have served the Lord in Thailand as a missionary (WEC INTERNATIONAL) and in Kaikohe / NZ (UNITED MAORI MISSION).
“Retirement Today.”
“Living well and ageing gracefully in a modern society.”
The word “Retirement” does not exist in the life of those who serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
