“‘Whoever has my commands and

obeys them,

he is the one who loves me.

He who loves me

will be loved by my Father, and

I too will love him and

show myself to him.'” – John 14:21

ANTI THEFT SECURITY DEVICES

AT THE BEACH

AT THE BEACH

“This product is fitted with an anti theft security device,” is written on the back of the battery pack I bought just now.

What else is written there?

Fewer batteries used less waste,” is written in bigger letters. “World’s longest lasting AA batteries,” is written in even bigger letters.

I am especially interested in “This product is fitted with an anti theft security device.”

I am asking myself now, “Do I steal?” I am not going to ask you if you steal, but I am asking myself, “Why do people steal?”

The Bible says in Exodus 20:15:

“‘YOU SHALL NOT STEAL.'”

I paid $24.49 for the four batteries. I never keep receipts, but this time I did.

ROMAN CATHOLICISM / PROTESTANTISM

“The Spirit itself  beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.” – Romans 8:16

“This verse therefore reminds us in a striking manner of the essential difference between the slavish spirit of Roman Catholicism and the “liberty of the Spirit” which is, I say, the hallmark of true Protestantism.” – D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones

“The Roman Catholic teaching is opposed to the doctrine of  assurance of salvation. Their teaching is that a Christian can never be sure of his salvation.” – D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones

Promises

I have actually made up my mind, not to promise anything any more. It is so easy to say, “I promise you to do this or that.” But are we sticking to it?

“LET GOD’S PROMISES SHINE ON YOUR PROBLEMS,” says Corrie Ten Boom.

Here are two promises which come to my mind:

“Do not  be anxious about anything,

but in everything,

by prayer and

petition, with

thanksgiving,

present your requests to God.” – Philippians 4:6

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” – First Peter 5:7

Do I need to remind you that we can trust the promises of God?
