“‘Woe to him who quarrels with his Maker, to him who is but a potsherd among the potsherds on the ground.'” – Isaiah 45:9

HAPPINESS
Science is uncovering that the key to happiness is PURPOSE. So is psychology and also spirituality.
PURPOSE means engagement. It means to be interested in what is going on. It means also to get involved if at all possible in the community.
We must have a reason to get out of bed in the morning.
I am quite often in town, not so much for the cup of coffee in the coffee shops, but to meet people.
I am also on the lookout for meetings, any kind of meetings, where I can learn more.
Kaitaia has also a beautiful library.
And I must not forget to tell you that KAITAIA is the place where journeys begin. There is a local bus service to Ahipara, Pukenui and Mangonui. And of course, you can go to Cape Reinga by bus.
Science, psychology and spirituality also agree that people who are connected with their creator are far more likely to be happy. Believers in the Lord Jesus Christ have a purpose in life. They have also a goal.
The Apostle Paul says in Philippians 1:21:
“FOR ME, TO LIVE IS CHRIST AND TO DIE IS GAIN.”
Message in the Making
The prayer of Hezekiah.
“‘REMEMBER,
Isaiah 38:3
Intr.:
O LORD,
A . HOW I HAVE WALKED BEFORE YOU
a. FAITHFULLY AND
b. WITH WHOLEHEARTED DEVOTION AND
B. HAVE DONE WHAT IS GOOD IN YOUR EYES.’
End:
AND HEZEKIAH WEPT BITTERLY.”
FOOD
We know about food for our body, but what about the food for our spirit?
What I am reading on an empty flattened Arnott’s Cruscits packet, I picked up from our kitchen floor, encourages me to think about our spiritual food. The reason is, I am sure, that I am more interested in spiritual food than in physical food. (Cruskits: You can eat “cruskits” like bread with something on them.)
” … EXPLORE THE POSSIBILITIES,” it says there; that means, and I don’t think I am wrong, the possibilities with cruskits.
It continues with “DISCOVER THE PERFECT LUNCH”. Three lunch possibilities are on that side of the packet with images.
I am encouraged to think to explore the possibilities with the Bible. In the Bible we are finding the Lessons about God. The Bible says that everything is possible with God. You find that in Luke 1:37 and Luke 18:27.
The power of God is infinite. Psalm 115:3 teaches us:
“OUR GOD IS IN HEAVEN; HE DOES WHAT PLEASES HIM.” Read also Psalm 135:6.
In the Bible we also “discover the perfect lunch”; that is the perfect spiritual food. Here are some of the promises I have discovered and memorized: (It surely is good to memorize the promises.)
First John 1:9; First Corinthians 3:11; Second Corinthians 3:17; James 4:2:
“YOU DO NOT HAVE, BECAUSE YOU DO NOT ASK GOD.”
In Matthew 4:4 the Lord Jesus Christ says, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

“A Tale of Three Kings”
Another Second Hand book.
This book is difficult to put down and it is a real page turner.
I am not the only one who says that.
This book is not only Second Hand, but also borrowed. I have to give it back.
