Our Lord Jesus Christ said: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
But don’t go looking for these words in the New Testament. You are not going to find them. Those words of our Lord Jesus Christ were passed on by word of mouth. The apostle Paul is quoting ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive’ in Acts 20:35

Intr.:
When Solomon finished praying,
1. fire came down from heaven and
2. fire came down from heaven and
a. consumed the burnt offering and
b. the sacrifices, and
3. the glory of the Lord filled the temple.
4. The priests could not enter the temple of the Lord because the glory of the Lord filled it.
5. When all the Israelites
(–saw the fire coming down
— and the glory of the Lord above the temple,)
a. they knelt on the pavement with their faces to the ground, and
b. they worshiped and
c. gave thanks to the Lord, saying,
— “He is good;
— his love endures forever.”
