“The Earth Shall Soon Dissolve Like Snow,……”

“The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,…” we were singing this morning in our church service. It is Sunday today!

It is part of the chorus of the song “Amazing Grace, My Chains Are Gone” which goes like this:

“The earth  shall soon dissolve like snow,

The sun forbear to shine;

But God, who call’d me here below,

Will be forever mine,….”

‘SNOW’ rhymes with ‘BELOW’, but is it biblical?

Second Peter 3:7 comes to my mind:

“By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.”

Please let me know!

Sermon Outline: O.T.

JOB

Job 2:3

Intr.:

“Then the Lord said to Satan,

‘Have you considered my servant Job?

There is no one on  earth like him;

*********************

1. he is blameless and

2. upright,

3. a man who fears God and

4. shuns evil.

End:

And he still maintains his integrity,

though you incited me against him to ruin him

without reason.'”
