The Missionaries from the U.S.A. in Kaitaia (P. E.)

I met them on the Street, the two young men – Latter-day Saints (Mormons) – from the United States of America. And I think they listened carefully when I told them what I believe.

Romans 10:9

“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘JESUS IS LORD’ and believe in  your heart that God raised him  from the dead, you will be saved.”

There are many other churches here in Kaitaia. Can someone tell me why only the Mormons and Jehovah’s  Witnesses have an organized witnessing programme?

More on ‘Health’ and ‘Wellbeing’!

I am looking at a page of the Weekend Herald, Saturday, August 21, 2010. It is all about “Health and Wellbeing”. One article is called: “FOOD CHOICES KEY TO HEALTH.”

Who is not interested in Wellbeing and Health? Hands up!

I am not only interested in  physical health, but I am especially interested in spiritual health. The Bible, the Word of the Living God says in Deuteronomy 8:3 “…..man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.”

What are we reading? Let us not neglect to read the Bible, the Word of the Living God!

“FOOD CHOICES KEY TO HEALTH”

Choose to read the BIBLE. Read the Bible more than anything else!

Education again!

It is difficult to miss the half page Massey University advertisement in the Weekend Herald today, August 21, 2010.

The ad begins with a quote from Nelson Mandela:

“EDUCATION IS THE MOST POWERFUL WEAPON YOU CAN USE TO CHANGE THE WORLD.”

Thinking about the quote I looked up ‘education’ in The Collins Concise Dictionary: “the act or process of acquiring knowledge.”

That was really a great help.  Education is the act of acquiring knowlede.

Acquiring knowledge about God, about the God of the Bible!

Golden Nugget:

Jeremiah 29:11

“‘FOR I KNOW THE PLANS I HAVE FOR YOU,’ DECLARES THE LORD,

‘PLANS TO

PROSPER YOU AND

NOT TO HARM YOU,

PLANS TO GIVE YOU A HOPE AND

A FUTURE.'”
